I heard somewhere (I cannot recall where exactly) that drywall comes in widths greater then 4ft, anyone know for sure in what sizes they are available? and where would one find a place to buy those?

It comes in 48" widths typically, but is also made in 54" widths for 9' ceilings. It also comes in 2' widths, typically referred to as "gypsum lath". Normal lengths are 8', 10', 12' and 14'.

Yes, with the new laws that are in place, drywall delivery guys hardly ever rape people anymore. :D

Luckily for you, Buckeye Insulation and Gypsum is just down the road from you. They can fix you up, but I'm not sure if the drivers will rape you or not. sex_1

Nope. Drywall is made in continual lengths on a big machine that resembles a printing press on steroids. It is "chopped" to length, thus it is impossible to provide a taper on the factory cut ends. At least one manufacturer is currently experimenting with providing a swage on the cut end.
