While washing a bedspead, I heard a click to go from rinse to spin, it drained but didn't spin. when I tried moving the timer, it filled so I thought maybe it will spin this time. but not only did it not spin it didn't drain. When I got into it, I notice what appeared to be a seal (Black soft rubber)wrapped around & caught in the housing under the tub. I don't know much at all about washers & I need some help to even ask the right questions.

Hi,
**kenmore model 110**
That is the beginning of the model#. 110.####### indicates a Whirlpool built Kenmore, but WLP has several different designs/style.

Some model# helps.

Inside the washer, under the washer?
** not only did it not spin, it didn't drain**
Was/will the motor run when you set the washer to the spin area?
On -some- WLP washers, the lid switch can prevent the washer from spinning & draining.
