The blower on my 22 year-old Carrier forced air furnace has stopped running. This is the second blower assembly installed about 10 years ago. The blower motor buzzes as if it wants to run but won't start unless I tap on the back of the motor and fan housing. The blower then starts and runs for a bit then slows down and stops again. Are there bearing oil ports or points that I can lube? Or has the motor developed high resistance and need replacing?
