I am considering putting in glass block windows in my basement. Anyone know of a good how-to website or a place where I can buy completed windows?
Thanks for your time.

There are many many different style products out there. Most that I have seen in glass block and is addressed in teh IRC is glass blocks layed up just like brick with very similar rules and bearing capacity.
Sorry about the late reply been very busy being spring.

My area (Buffalo) has several glass block companies that will sell them to you to install, or they will install. I did two in my old house, with some help from a friend, and it wasn't that bad. It certainly goes better with two people, as you have one inside and one outside keeping the thing in place while you set it and mortar it in.
I'd suggest buying a mortar bag, the kind like a cake decorator uses for frosting. We didn't use one, but it sure would have helped get the mortar into the joints.
Good luck!
