Once had too drill hole open starway ceiling, cant remember exact reason why? Inserted a drill bit in each end of a stick of 1/2 emt and used for an extension, worked great.

Cool trick, wanna. How was the drill bit attached in the end of the EMT?

Sometimes I saw of the end of a short piece of EMT on a 45 degree angle (for a point) to drive into drywall to make toggle bolt holes. I do this if I have lots of things to mount with toggle bolts at one time.

just drove the bits into the conduit, been sometime but it worked. Like loosing the flat screw or allen screw on your extension. Learned in a hurry to have spares.
Never tryed the punch idea, this doesn't flare back side of the rock?
