What is the suggest technique for shoring up under a acrylic tub and preformed shower with grout. Do you just shovel a couple of inches down on the osb subfloor before you set the tub or do you put something down and put the mortar on top. What type of mortar do you use or is quickcrete cement acceptable. what keeps this stuff from going everywhere? thanks
Also on pedistal sink, is there a standard distance or demensions that this should fit in. Like a toilet fiting in the center of a 36 inch area.

Pedestal dimensions/restrictions fall under the same code requirements as would a lavatory cabinet installation.

I would use a bed of mortar under your tub.....somewhat dry so that it still spreads around when compressing the pile when installing. Make sure that you use mortar only........concrete mix with the small gravels over time will make the pile break apart from movement.
