View Full Version : Threaded PVC into Iron Tee

Should I use some kind of something around the threads of pvc ( I'm not sure what the threaded part is called :o ) when I screw it into an iron tee? Wrap the threads with tape maybe?

Yes. Use teflon tape along with teflon thread sealant.


Works good to use both......but tape alone will suffice.

Hey dunbar, whats the normal price of that thread sealent? and can it used in place of the tape?
I haven't seen a can of the stuff locally that can be applied to CPVC, Lowes only has a 4 oz tube of the stuff for 4 dollars. :eek: Maybe I should take a better look.

I can't stand using the tape.. I lose half a roll because I have two left hands lol
