Anyone Else With Attachment Problems?

The site is no longer allowing any of my attachments.

Each time I try to attach something, a message "upload only partially attached" results.

This happens regardless of the size or name of the attachment. I have been posting attachments all along and the last successful one was last evening.

According to my attachment statistics, I have a total of 35 attachments on the site taking up 1.18MB.

Have I used up my limit? I'd hate to have to start deleting attachments because that would create holes in the old threads.

There is another user that has far more attachments than you. What is the type of atatchment you were trying to upload ?

bmp gif jpeg jpg zip - all have a 100 k limit for file size, with currently no dimension limits on the pics.

doc jpe pdf png psd tx - have a 20 k limit for file size

these can all be adjusted / changed by me if needed.

Try again, there could have been a hicup on the server, or just busy.

I was trying to upload an 18KB jpg file. I tried several times all with the same message. I was able to post the message but it was without the attachment.

I just tried to attach a few files to this post and they all gave the same error message.

I am getting a couple of errors...

either an invalid file type or "upload only partially attached"

You have to give me a couple of days to work on this, I uploaded a update file security fix recently, I think I will do a full update on it, but have to take the forum offline for about a half hour to do it. And I can only do that at home, as I need ftp as well as run a shell program for an sql dump on the database server to back it up first. So I will do that first before checking on this further.

Don I am also getting an error stating my file image is invalid. I've tried jpeg and gif.

Guess what!

The attachments work again this morning.

I have one other observation. During the time that the attachments weren't working, I didn't receive the usual e-mails telling me of new posts to subscribed threads or new private messages. This morning, those e-mails from the selfhelpandmore.com server are being sent out again.

Since it is working again this morning, and the email norification was effected. It sounds like it was a server hang likely with php, as both of these routines are based on php on the server. Of course the entire forum software is in php. So likely there was a server reboot sometime during the night.

Can you check your uptime to tell?

Ive noticed over the last few days that the system seemed a bit sluggish too. Its zooming along today though.

The problem is back. I can't post any attachments and the e-mail notification isn't working either.
