something along the lines of

http://danpatch.ecn.purdue.edu/~epados/septics/buildcw.htm

and http://www.rideau-info.com/local/septic-wetlands.html

How anyone here had experiance with them? I was thinking in the future of possibly going with one of these systems.

are they worth the investment?

sand mounds are the rule in this area anymore. and i know of no one that wants to add $$$$$$ to the cost of a septic system. next time i talk to insp., i'll ask if he's ever seen one put in.

There's lots of super cool septic systems out there. Until the cost comes down of such systems, there will be very few installed. These exotic systems sometimes fill a need on lots where a conventional system just won't work. I even saw a system that you stocked with peat moss and another in which you added beneficial nematodes (whatever they are?) Like xkvator, around me the sand mound is the norm for on lot sewage disposal. If the land won't perk for a sand mound, it's value goes way way down. If this happens and you can get a super cheap deal on the land as a result, then investing in a more expensive and exotic septic system begins to make more sense.
