New Coil, Distributor Rusty Inside
Has Box, Is This An Ignition Box?,may Be Bad ?

If the distributer has points and condenser then not electronic ignition. Dry out the distributer inside and clean and remove as much rust as possible. Rust is saying moisture in that distributer. Change the points and condenser and cap and rotor. Should hit your problem.

If points but no condenser then that box may be an electronic ignition and need to be replaced. May hit your problem.
