On page 69 of Knights Ontario Electrical Code Simplified it states under Circuits required ( this plug outlet may be supplied with any nearby lighting circuit which has 11 or fewer outlets) but on page 76 it says under " 2G.F.I. Protected Plug Circuits Required- The rule reqires separate G.F.I. protection for the following plug outlets--all washrooms and bathroom plugs. Which is right as I am about to wire outlet in a new bathroom. Thanks

To my understanding per the CEC you are allowed to serve a bathroom receptacle with a general lighting branch circuit serving other receptacels say in living room or even laundry. However GFI protection is required for that bathroom receptacle.
I am taking this to mean that you can serve a bathroom receptacle from a general use receptacle but you must install a GFI receptacle Class A rated that will GFI protect that certain receptacle.
CEC is not written like the NEC on this subject. NEC requires dedicated bathroom receptacle circuit or dedicated bathroom circuit. CEC does not require this bathroom receptacle to be on a dedicated bathroom circuit or bathroom receptacle circuit but this bathroom receptacle may be wired from a general use receptacle circuit [not kitchen receptacle circuit]. All you have to do is install the GFI protective device to protect that certain bathroom receptacle only.
Now in Canada each province has local rules that apply. Check with the province for local rules that apply as you have here.
Good Luck
