I have a cape cod house built in 1948.

The foundation is of blocks.....in some areas, the sillplate is not directly sitting on top of the blocks. There may be a 1/4" - 3/8" gap between them in certain places.....what can i do about this?

Is there some type of filler i can buy to install here?
concrete?

These gaps are for how much distance between making contact with foundation on each side of gap?

Curious

If these air gaps are less than about a foot long then support not a concern, just fill them in by stuffing fiberglass insulation or other form of permenant insulation to stop the air from flowing. Make sure the sill plate if wood siding is at least 8" above finished grade with at least 5" fall in 10' away from home. The 8" is for termite and rot protection and the slope away from home sheds surface and roof water away from home not down foundation into home.

Good Luck
