Have any of you installed a aftermarket performance chip for a 1995 Acura Integra LS? Any ideas where the computer is located and any tips on installation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The puter is often found under the dash behind the glove box. While it does happen often times an onboard computer seldom goes out. Often times many go to the junk yard and buy an onboard computer there and install the original chip from your puter to the used replacement puter. I had to do that once in an 88 GMC pick up.

Most often the puter is fine but you may have one or more bad sensors causing your problems. There is a diagnostic reader available that you can plug into the puter diagnostic link normally found to the left of the steering wheel that will give you a read out from teh computer telling you faults that puter is reading that most often is causing you the problems you are experiencing. You normally can buy one but the better mechanics will have a more accurate reader with updated chips from the manufacturer. These more accurate puter diagnostic readers are quite salty in cost and normally only professional repair shops carry them. Many of the smaller repair shops don't have the money to invest on this type eleaborate reader to read diagnostic codes of all the different vehicles.

Best I got
