Wow. Those are pricey! But I'm sure Mdshunk will attest, they are well worth it.

I got to look at a little bit of literature on these V28 tools when I stopped in my Milwaukee dealer for some flashlight bulbs. These new batteries actually have a "fuel gauge" of sorts on them that tells you the state of the charge. The battery itslef is actually supposed to be lighter than the 18V ones. The counter guy also told me that the circuitry in the battery records the date of first use, which they can pull up at the Milwaukee shop to clear up any battery warranty issues.

I like the fact that the V28 line will have a porta-band in the lineup. Before now, there has been no battery porta-band by anyone. I think I might have to spring for that one.
