Lexmark X85

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone, I got a predicament I cannot figure out. For some reason, I lost communication to my printer/fax/scanner.

So as a last ditch effort, I uninstalled and reinstalled using the discs that came with it.

Still, no such luck.

It popped a window up that states (spooling drive not found?)

When I watch the print window, it will state SPOOLING, then Deleted.

How come this wasn't addressed when I reinstalled the software (followed directions to a tee)

It seems to do everything it is supposed to, but the message isn't getting to the printer, and I know that it is acknowledging the USB port.

Worked fine until today. Cannot figure out how this happened.

Any advice is welcome, I cannot figure out what I missed.

You may want to try downloading the drivers from Lexmark. Depending on how old the printer is, Lexmark may have come up with newer drivers for it.

Check here:

I assume you have Windows XP? If so, there is a patch out on their site to fix a communication issue between the printer/pc.
