installing kitchen countertop

I am going to install a laminate countertop in my kitchen. I am buying it from a big Home Center and I'm going to have them template it.
Any hints or help would be appreciated since i will be doing the installtion my self, including the seam/joint.

If this is a top with turns or angles be careful in the handling to avoid breaking as you set it in place. Use plenty of hands and people to carry and place the top.

To cut out on the top your sink etc. use a drill bit in the corners then lay a thin piece of wood or other material to avoid scrathing that top surface with your jig saw as you cut out your templates.

Make sure you use screws that do not pass through causiing damage from a screw going through the counter top.
