I am trying to locate a driver to use with a Quartet Chartscan CS100.
I have googled and tried Driverguide.com. I phoned the company in Skokie IL. I even emailed a guy selling one on Ebay. If anyone has a driver for this unit or can recommend a generic one that might work I would be grateful.
This unit a a 32" wide scanner. It is capable of scanning up to 32"x44".

What is the FCC ID#?
Also, what did the manufacturer say?

No FCC ID# present. Only a sticker that says complies with FCC rules.
Called manufacturer today and they said discontinued unit no support available.

How old is the unit? Sounds like it is before Windows and therefore the drivers that existed will not work today's Window's enviroment. Instead, the drivers are probably DOS. There is a lot of old computer equipment in back room storage areas that a business has not cleared out in ages. The trick in picking out old/used computer equipment is knowing what years it was popular. This tells you if it can or cannot work with modern OS.
I used to (still some) perform alot of side computer build/repair/troubleshoot for friends and for extra greenbacks. Many times I'd be asked to upgrade a friend or co-worker's existing computer. I hated to tell them that the 286 they paid $1200 for in 1989 is only good for a boat anchor, and that an upgrade is impossible. Same goes for monitors, CRTs, printers, and the like. I'm not familiar with the printer/scanner you have but it most likely falls into the boat anchor category. Sorry; and I may be wrong.

I know this unit is old probably 1996-1998. I have a navigation chart I want to use in a GPS program. I can download my waypoints and plot them on the chart. I thought I could scan it in using this scanner.
