Hi
I have a Kenmore 110 that runs through the cycle fine but at the end, I am left with water in the fabric softener cup. The machine dispenses the softener just fine but I'm left having to suction out the water. Is this an issue with the timer that releases the fabric softener?
Thanks
Sharon

The rest of the model # is 110 92242100, S/N CC5070438.

The bleach and fabric softener dispensers are in the front, left hand corner of the open machine. The two soap dispensers are at the front R of the machine.

The fabric softener actually dispenses into the washer but when the cycle is completed, I'm left with clear water where the fabric softener used to be.

Hi Jeff

I'm sorry, it looks like I added a keystroke in the middle. The model number is 110-92292100.

That model# worked :)

I looked for any service notes but most ( almost all ) talked about not dispensing or dispensing too soon....none with leaving water after the cycle has finished.

I am left with water in the fabric softener cup. The machine dispenses the softener just fine but I'm left having to suction out the water. Is this an issue with the timer that releases the fabric softener?

Either the timer is powering the fill valve when it shouldn't be, water should syphone out and isn't or the fill valve is not 100% cloesing and is weeping in some water...would have to be investigated. Sorry can't help more.

They appear to have problems with the transducer...

I have a similar washer that does the same thing..

there is a cap between the fab softener and bleach dispensers that has all the fill levels on it. Pull it off and clean under it very well. The liquids dispense via siphon and if it cant start a siphon it wont drain the dispenser. The reason it still works is because there is also a overflow for if it gets clogged like this. Dillute your liquids up to the fill lines to help keep them clean. You can also manually trigger it by filling the dispenser above the fill line.. that can be used with just water to help keep it clean. You probably will need to manually clean them here and then.. Grab a handfull of q tips and have fun. Toss the cap into a wash load that isnt senstitive to faberic softener (rinse it off if you use bleach in the dispenser)

Jeff

Thank you for doing the research on this problem. Looks like I'll have to pull it apart again and see if maybe the fabric softener is just gumming up the area.

Some hot water poured through may help break any gookus clogs up.
