I'm not familiar with phone repair or troubleshooting but I have a phone in the office that dials "1111" every time I pick up the handset. I've replaced the phone but that didn't fix it. I finally replaced the power supply and that appeared to work, for a few days. Now it is back to dialing 1111. What could possibly be the problem? I'd love to solve this before calling in a consultant.
Thanks!

You didn't mention what type of phone/system this is. Since you said that you replaced the phone itself, and the problem persists, I seem to feel that you might be dealing with a PBX or KSU type of phone system. These systems consist of a "box" somewhere in a closet that all your office phones connect to. I have a feeling that one of the programming parameters got screwed up in the KSU, and this causes your phone to hot dial "1111", much like the call for help phones in elevators. Troubleshooting these types of systems is beyond the scope of the average do-it-yourselfer.
