We bought a home with a large septic system 4 years ago. Just got it pumped last year, contractor said everything looked good. No problems at all so far.

Today a roofing contractor drove over the septic bed with his truck. An inch or two indentation in the grass. I assume it was over the bed since it was close to the tank.

We flushed the toilets several times and ran the sinks. No evidence of any issues. I am worried that the pipe may have been damaged but again, don't see any evidence of damage.

How worried should I be? First time in 4 years someone has driven over this area (Ford F150 truck).

Thanks.

Does it look like whole drainfield area dropped a couple of inches uniformly (i.e., for example, do you see a 40 foot square area that's dropped by a couple of inches), or is it indented just where the tire tracks were?

I'm curious about what tell-damage like this looks like.

I doubt you will run into any issue's your feild is more than likely 5 to 6 ft down and the soil would be well packed by now, an excavtor drove over mine,no trouble.

I would hope that the field is not that deep but as far as a small truck driveing over it it is very unlikly that it is hurt but the first thing you will need to look for is surfaceing of fluint ( water comeing to the top of the ground around that area)or slow drains.
