Had a little service change out to do this morning so the kids whacked 'em again last night! The splashes are trout hitting shad on top! :D

You are catching a lot of these trout. Do you eat them every night or do your state not have a maximum possession limit ?

We eat fish 3 or 4 nights a week and the friends of my kids that we take down there...take bags of fillets home with them! I'm proud to say we've NEVER had a bag of trout fillets freezer burn! And the limit is 10 fish per day....per person with 20 posession! :D

Here in Atlantic Canada we need a team of New York lawyers to interprate the laws, It is the most foolish thing i have ever seen. Bag limit in your possesion is 5 but it cannot exceed a certain weight, & if you foul hook a fish it must be released, nor are you allowed to keep them in a live well, and that is just a few of the rules. There is a $5.00 conservation fee which they dole out to special intrest groups and that is sort of OK except they charge TAX on the 5 bucks. They have too many rules, not enough wardens, nor do they want to put any effort into the sport of angling. They want your money!!!!:eviltongue:

Your trout must be as prolific as our crappie and blue gill after seeing your limit and possesion rules. Sounds like fun. A group of a dozen of us went to Manaki Canada every year for 25 years. Only saw a CO once up there. The searched everything when they showed up but once in 25 years left things pretty lax. Over those years the small mouth fishing in Lake of the woods water diminished greatly from catch them all day long to hardly catching one now and then 25 years later. After home land security hit the borders we have been going to Minnisota. I have talked to business owners there and they say they each pay a big amount of money each per year for restocking the lakes in that area and are glad to do it because those coming up there to fish is the main source of income and make enough to pay that annual fee and make money. Fishing is good in that area still today. I believe it is because of their aggresive re-stocking program.

Yeah...every fish is chock full of eggs!
We must have it really easy down here...at least our rules and regs are etched in stone!
