We built an addition to our 100 year old home and I'm doing the wiring.
I'm not an electrician and have a problem with a 3-way connection feeding 3 lights.
incoming power, 12-2 (black/white/ground)
power to lights 12-3 (black/white/red/ground)
3-way switches on both ends
works just fine with only one light but as soon as I install the second light it does not switch correctly.
On (switch 1) off (switch 2) and reverse is fine.
If I switch off at #2 I can't switch on at switch 1. What am I doing wrong???
Thanks for any help - Dagmar
