Over the years in a Industrial setting I had to relamp many HID
type lamps.
Many times a lamp would be tuff getting out.
An old timer showed me that with a little shot of CRC into the threads
worked wonders. Also, before I relamped I gave a spray on the threads
or in the socket.
Of course this is done with the lamp cooled off !
While I am at it: Also I tried to keep a clean rag of sorts when installing
HID lamps (especially 1000 Watters) to keep any oil off the Glass envelope.
