Hello all,
I live in South Florida and I have had this problem ongoing for a while. My AC drain line acts as if there is a blockage. It will work intermittently, then start overflowing.
It is a central AC unit. The part that is inside, with cols sloped at an angle for condensation to run down and into the pan, is working. The pan collects the water. After a certain amount of times, sometimes days, sometimes immediately, the line will act as if it is blocked. It just uses gravity to drain to an outside pipe. I can disconnect the line from the ac, blow on it and there will be a pop like sound and the entire line then drains. I have back-washed the system, blown it out with a shop vac, used anti bacteria tablets, etc, and the water coming from the drain line is now crystal clear.
Is there anything i could be missing? Can air somehow be leaking into the system? stopping it from draining normally? Anything else I should try? Does this need to be primed somehow to setup the correct pressure?
Someone PLEASE HELP!!! :dontknow: Thank you!
