All,

Installed a Kohler Wellworth about 2 years ago and it still works great except for lately, when it finishes filling, it snaps off the water abruptly sending a shudder through the entire house. The plumbing has not changed any nor has the water pressure. Fill levels appear normal- it just used to to shut off gradually enough so no hammering was even noticed

Any adjustment possible? New innards called for?

It's often called water hammer. You may have hard water / iron / well sediment buildup / ect caught up in the fill valve causing it to shut off hard.

Shut the supply off and there may be a cover to remove to reach the fill valve. Remove this cover and any loose pieces of the valve (clean them off in a sink). place a cup over the valve to catch the spray and turn the water on for a second or so to flush out anything in the valve. Reassemble and try it out.

If it still hammers you may need to replace the fill valve or you can install a water hammer arrester on your supply line.
