Hello. I am remodeling a small bathroom replumbing a new fiberglass shower stall. My 'domestic engineer' picked out the hardware, but wouldn't you know it, our home center only had the model made for tub/shower applications. I figured it would be OK to simply plug the tub spout output securely and install it behind a fully accessable panel. Could I get some opinions on this? Should I return it and special order the one without the tub spout (at 40% higher price and a 2 week wait) or go with this like I'd planned?
Thanks in advance.

Should work just fine.

Make sure you use some plumbers tape or liquid Teflon on the thread of the plug, otherwise I think your good to go.
