Hello:

I have a RUUD furnace (and air conditioner). About a year ago, during a maintenance visit, the technician made our heating fan speed higher. Now, the heat coming out of the ducts seems too cool. I would like to try turning the speed back down. A/C performance is fine.

Our control board is a White Rodgers 50A62. Currently, the wiring is like this:

COOL = no wire
HEAT = no wire
HEAT/COOL = blue
FAN = Red
M1 = yellow
M2 = black

What I assume this means is that both heating and cooling are using the med/high fan speed. Is this correct?

According to the wiring diagram, the factory setting is like this:

COOL = black
HEAT = yellow
HEAT/COOL = no wire
FAN = red
M1 = no wire
M2 = Blue

How would I change it to leave cooling speed as is, and lower the heat speed?

Thank you very much.

Well, here is what I ended up changing to, and it seems to work just fine.

COOL = blue
HEAT = yellow
HEAT/COOL = no wire
FAN = red
M1 = no wire
M2 = Black

I'm pretty sure this means med-low for heat, med-high for cool.
