I have recently installed a DSC 1832 system with 4 zones (all hard wired). The system is connected to a central office monitoring system, the entry delay is 30 sec.

Having purchased from Home Security store, they helped me program it after I installed it. Using their sheet of instructions, it all went pretty much to plan.

The system was working fine for a few weeks, then the monitoring company called me and said the system lost ac power. Upon investigation I found the 120AC adapter had been hit and fell off the wall destroying it. I replaced it and gave the battery 4-5 hrs to charge back.

Problem: The keypad 5500 is displaying a yellow traingle light and the green check mark with a beep every 10 sec or so.

I tried a reset *2 ## displayed digit 4 Pushed # then display returned to above description. The system can be armed/disarmed in a normal manner.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I might try to reset the system?

Thanks,

Rusty

Further work and investigation today revealed the red and green telco wires were crossed with the black and white pair. This was most likely done when I changed out the rj31 to a standard (single) rj45 jack.

Lesson learned: double check all connections when changing our a component.

Hope this helps everyone.
