i'm looking for suggestion to better waterproof a tiled shower which has leaked behind wall. I have tested by spraying water in certain areas of shower and know that the water leakage is not from a plumbing leak. The 4"x4" ceramic tile was installed on concrete board, but the board joints were not taped. Next time i'll know better.
The leak occurs mostly at a wall juncture of a shower seat about 36"X12", covered with 4"X4" tiles.
I have covered the tile seat with a slab of marble to eliminate some tile joints in that area. The marble seat joint has been sealed w/ silicione at all gaps.
I would like to add an additional sealer trim to protect the silicone joints over time and general cleaning.
any suggestions on a good product to use for a surround seal over the silicone.
