I recently replaced my floor in my bathroom and now the closet flange is 3/4" higher than the new floor. I know that ideally it is supposed to rest on the floor but is this 3/4" a big deal when putting on the new toilet? I was thinking of supporting the flange and using a jumbo wax ring or will this differance make the toilet unven? Thanks for the help.

Bismark I believe I have seen this question before also. Anyway, there are two choices. Lay a 3/4 plywood square around the toilet area like a threashold thus raising the floor to the flange. Second option is to cut the pipe in the crawl cutting out 3/4" then using a coupling to rejoin the pipe thus making the flange lower as required.

Good Luck
