reno in kitchen. gonna put plugs either side of sink. I understand they can be on same 20a cct, 12/2 wire. How do I wire the rec together to protect the second one? first in cct will be GFCI, but second can be regular if I can wire it to be protected. I need a schematic. Thanks.

Simple, just look at the instructions that come with the GFCI 20A T-slot receptacle. There will be two sets of screws for connections. The set marked line is where the cable from the panel is connected. The set marked load, probably covered with a label that you need to remove, is where the cable to the non-GFCI receptacle is connected. The bare bond/grounding wires are connected to the box and one is left long enough to also connect to the receptacle. I usually leave the bonding wire from the panel longer to connect to the receptacle. You can also connect the bonding wires together with a wire connector (marrette) and leave a pig tail to connect to the receptacle but this takes more room in the box.
Make sure to test it to see if power is cut to both receptacles when it trips.

Thanks Kevin. That sounds simple enough.

it was just as you said. pretty easy once I had the main plan.
All ccts work as they should.
