well pump problem???

recently my water volume has gone down lately. I was able to take a shower with the washer running but now the pressure drops to a trickle. if i am in the shower and someone flushes the toilet the shower trickels. the pressure switch seems to be working fine 45lbs to 60. The expansion tank is 1 year old and is not waterlogged. I am wondering if my pump is not working correctly.

You may have a leak.

Shut off the water past the pressure tank outlet, and watch the pressure gauge for 20+ minutes and if the pressure falls, the leak is on the well side of the shut off valve/pressure tank. If the pressure holds, open the shut off valve and see if you hear or can tell if water flows. If so the leak is on the house side of the shut off valve.

If you have a leak on the well side, get it fixed quick because it could lead to no water or dropping the pump down the well.

it was the inline filter that was clogged.
