Carrier Crusader gas furnace won't start.
Tried to turn the furnace but only the fan only runs for a moment then shuts down. If I flip the kill switch off and on it starts up for a moment then again shuts off. When I opened the upper cover I didn't see a flame of any kind which is maybe why the fan shuts off. It does quietly humm as if something is working but no heat. The furnace is about 15 years old but has never been a problem. Note: The gas was turned off 3 months ago and wondering if a pilot light needs re-lighting but wouldn't the furnace have electronic ignition?
