Hi,

I have the truss uplift problem. During winter the truss lifts up, and during summer it comes down. There are ceiling cracks in my house on the second floor. There was never any lateral bracing put in, nor furring strips. There were some nailers put in. The truss was buried in insulation. I removed all the insulation. (It was a mess up in the attic). The trusses are 2x6 at 32 foot long ea. There were toe-nailed in on the exterior support walls and some nailed to the interior non-bearing walls. I removed those nails from the non-bearing walls. Some of the trusses are riding about .5 inches above the non-bearing walls, while some of the other trusses are resting on some non-bearing walls. I trying to figure how to fix this before I put new insulation in. What do you suggest?
