We have a septic system with two leaching fields. During the winter you can see by the "snow melt" that only one of the two fields is working.
The problem is that at the end of that leaching field waste water is breaking out to the surface.
When we last had our tank pumped the guy noticed that we had been using those disposable wipes - and said that we should stop using them. We have (we have young twin boys - seemed like a product that made sense at the time).
Is it possible that the non-working leaching field is plugged by these wipes? What type of service would you call to work on a problem like this? Can they snake the pipes or do they need to dig up the yard? Is this what Roto-rooter does?
