I am in the process of building a house here in Barbados, I am using Pex from the water main to the house. this is covering a distance of 400 ft. I will admit that I am new to pex and stupid about it. been doing Copper and PVC Etc for years..Not fully understanding the connection drill.and only needing in the beginning 2 T" for breaking off the main supply line for irrigation of the feild. I ordered the 2 T's was tad surprised at the cost. 25.00 USD for each.. but then just figured it was Local prices doing the normal gouging they do..
When the stuff was delivered to day. I was a tad surprised to see a compression fitting T with O-rings inside. This would never work being burried underground.. some day some time the O-ring would fail causing a leak. Asking the vedor about this. they kind fo gave me the Duhhh answer Pex is rather new here.. they don't even know that it comes in Red for hot water..
I was thinkming in my tiny mind way that I would have gotten a barbed T to make the connection.. Now tongiht doing some research I see that there are fitting dependant systems..all unavaiable here...And when checking out the crimping system..it is brass.. Don't feel that is a good idea to burry that also.
I have seen a falring system.. but the manufacture is rather proud of the system wanting over 250.00USD for the tool.. and that before I get it shipped down here. So I am wondering is there any other way to connect this pipe????

Thanks
