I have had this machine for about seven years. Recently, as I started to put a load of newly-washed clothes into the dryer, I noticed they were soaking wet. I returned them to the washer and put it through the spin cycle again, but no luck. I found the water was draining from the tub, however it would not spin. The motor ran as if it were a normal spin cycle, but, once again, the tub was immobile.

If this is something I can fix myself I'd like to do so, however, if I can't, at least I'll know what to expect if a repairman tries to talk me into unnecessary work.

Thank you.
