Same old DSC 1555 dicconnected phone problem

I have a problem I've seen on here several times before, but the fixes do not seem to help. I don't have monitoring and I have disconnected my home phone line and now I get beeping and error codes 1 and 4.

I have both the installer's code and the master code. I've tried the *8 (installer's code) 380 1 # 015 7 ### suggestion and I get into Program mode, but the beeping still starts back and I still have the 1 and 4 error conditions.

I just want to shut the system down. Don't need to use it at all. I can't find anywhere in the manual that tells me how to just power down.

Any ideas??

Power down is easy..........unplug the AC transformer. Open the panel.......unhook both leads to battery.

Panel is down.

Look in your manual.......you need to turn off the TLM (telephone line monitor) and program "fffffffff",etc into all the phone number locations.

Was this panel previously monitored?

The system has not been monitored in several years.
