Sprinkler supply line search

I want to find the main water lines for the sprinkler system in my yard. Have any ideas:questionmark: I just don't want to dig too many holes.

If they are plastic you could open up one end a feed a wire inside. Then trace them with tracing equipment.
They probably run in reasonably straight lines between the heads. If you dig at a head and look which way the pipes are running and where the next head is you would probably pretty close.
