Hi,

I have a Commander 2000 system with wireless sensors that has a problem. The panel makes announcements on a regular basis (many times a day) that I haven't been able to stop. Eg, it announces "Bypass fire", or it announces that the system is set to an alarm level that is incorrect. Sometimes, resetting the system to, say, level 3, and then to level 1 (system off) will temporarily stop the unsolicited messages; but they will start again within a day or so.

A local security tech changed the panel batteries, and put the system into "sensor test" mode, and thought that "cleared memory" and that everything was ok. But a day or two later, the announcements began again. He's now recommending replacement of the entire system.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem? If not, is there a replacement panel that will be compatible with the wireless sensors already in place? Don't really want to spend $1200 to replace this thing.

Thanks.
