I have an old Sears Air Compressor that trips the breaker on start. I have purchased a new capacitor but can't find out how to connect wires to the capacitor from the motor.

Sears Compressor Model 919.165220 5HP 22 GAL
GE Motor Model # 5KCR49TN2235X
Capacitor GE 97F9614

There are two wires - Purple and brown

Of course the first response would be to put it where the old one was. But... I looked at the Sears website and it doesn't show a capacitor for the motor. There are a lot of motors that don't use capacitors to start. Are you sure this is one?
