I have a 240-v. circuit going out to the pump on my well. I have added a water softener, and need a single, 120-v. outlet to power the timer on the softener. What's the easiest way to add this outlet?

Gummiebear, look in the list of subjects on the forum. Find Electrical listed as teh subject and post your question there. Electricians watch those electrical related subjects for these type questions. There you will get plenty of help.

However you need to issue more details in your quesiton. Right now we know you have a well pump 220 volt rated but you did not mention where you installed your water softner. Water softners are normally inside the house and water pumps are normally trenched out underground to a well. However you may be trying to feed your water softener in a detached shed.

You need to give more details to get the help you seek. YOu need to post in the correct forum subject so the post is read by professionals watching those certain subject forums listed on the forum.

We will be glad to help you but you will be better served if you post in the Electrical-Existing Home subject forum on the page where you found this subject.

HOpe to see you there
