Just wondering should insulation be in all the walls of a house? Or just the outer walls?

Outer walls to keep the heat in

Inner walls: for sound damping
Insulating rooms you may not heat (as much)
I never used my back bedroom at the last house, so I insulated the wall that bordered the bathroom

At this house I insulated one wall of the bathroom to cut down on the sound of the shower. I'm doing the same thing on the 2nd floor. I am also putting in a steam shower, & they recommend insulating the walls to keep the heat in & prevent condensation against the wall

I'm also insulating my son's bedroom to keep noise down & heat in. His room has a radiator, rest of the 2nd floor does not. I'm also insulating around the chimney on the 2nd floor, since the chimney does get cold

Here are some pictures I took of my living room. They are of a vent in the living room ceiling. I don't see any insulation  And this is the outer wall of my house. The front basically. This is not good, I imagine. :bawling:

That first picture gives a pretty good look at the outer wall wood.

The wood doesn't look to bad. Or does it?
