I've got an exterior window that's holding up our remodeling project and the plan has been to replace it with a glass block window. Unfortunately it's been very cold here and there's no signs of letting up. the mortar says not to use unless it'll be above 45 degrees for 72 hours. I can heat the inside of the room with the replacement window, but I don't see a way to heat the outside. is there any hope of getting this done before spring?

If it was my project, I would just wait it out. I am kinda paranoid about mortar and temperatures. I'm sure you would rather be done with it and know it was done right and not have any problems. Bummer, I know.

Use plastic with a blanket over the top of it to cover the exterior side of the window until the mortar has set (couple of days). Try to seal it off from freezing air. Basically your creating a small "hot house".
