I don't know the name of the product---but, I will try to describe it: On cement floors (and perhaps elsewhere)---there is a product that is poured-out--- it is self-leveling--- it dries and hardens --to a finish somewhat like akrylic (sp?). About 20 years ago, I saw a room that was approxiamtely 15' X 20' that had this type of flooring. It was great! Is this product still around? ---Thanks for any help. ---Jim.

The product is called a "poured floor", and is basically two part epoxy. Stinks like the dickens when it's installed. Normally, they either tint it a color, or mix multicolored "confetti" like flakes all through it. It is still popular for commercial kitchens. Last year did some PA system wiring in a new gym that had a poured floor in the locker rooms. There may be a trade slang name for this type of floor, but I've always heard everyone call it a poured floor. Somehow, they can even cope the product up the walls a bit to also act as the baseboard. I would think you'd have to contact a commercial flooring contractor or supplier for more information on this type of floor finish. I think that as a DIY project, you'd stand a real good chance of making a royal mess.
