Some sob opened my demarc box on the side of my home & disconnected the wiring that comes up from the ground into the demarc box and I am not sure how to connect it all up again. Whoever did it disconnected all the wires & actually pulled the cable out of my box. The wire colors coming from the cable are 2 solid blue wires, 2 solid yellow wires and 2 extremely thin solid tan wires that are connected in a pair (like speaker wire is connected). I am familiar with the "demarc Box to home phone" type of wiring, but am not familiar at all with the "phone cable to demarco box" connections  . I have looked all over the net for demarc box wiring diagrams , but all of them I have found are for newer demarc boxes which is VERY different from the one on my house.
I will post pics of the box a little later when i can borrow a friends digital camera.
stay tuned for the pics.

The wires cable coming up out of the ground and into the DeMarc block are TelCo property. You can actually get a real chewing out by messing with this, even if you have good intentions. Just call the TelCo, and they should fix it up for free. The "house side" is the only wiring in the DeMarc that you are permitted to monkey with. Your color codes cause me to think that your phone cable is ancient.

I have a defective demarc box. There is signal on the phone company lines and I can call if I plug in to the test jack on the demarc termination module for my line on the demarc box. The problem, there is no signal to the screw down terminals on my termination module. According to the phone company, since there is signal to the demarc box, the problem isn't theirs, but mine, because the problem appears to be on the consumer side of the demarc box. They will send a techniician out to repair the problem at cost to me at a minimum of & $172, $86 for the house call and $86 for the minimum of one hour service time. What I propose to do is to replace the demarc box with a newer, fully functional box, since if I have them repair the problem, they will charge me for a new demarc box anyway. Now since I have already purchased the phone service from the phone company and they came out and installed service to the house, technically I'm obgliated to pay for a second trip for them to reconnect the wires if I replace the demarc box, and this is where the problem comes in. If I disconnect their service and re-install it to the new box, I can be charged anyway since I have now tampered with their property. But they also insist that the demarc box is not their property, but the homeowners property, since it was provided by the builder, so it is my responsibility. So I would think from that point of view, only the wires to the pole are their property and nothing on the demarc box belongs to them at all. So I should be able to connected or disconnect their wires at will, after all, I'm paying for the signal on those two wires. This to me, is a sneaky way for them to make easy bucks. I would think that they would be obgliated to ensure that there is service to the terminal block where I attach my wires. I am not going to attach my service to the test jack, so why am I obgliated to pay aditional money for an additional trip by the phone company when there was no signal to where I attach my wires? Perhaps this needs to be vetted in court.

That is exactly what you are suposed to do. Connect to the test jack. You should have wire plugged into the test jack and run inside your house for your further distribution.
