Can't someone ban him? It doesn't look good when he keeps posting and he already has 17 posts. Once he had one or two he should have been gone. How did he get to 17?

I asked this the other day with no answer...:sleep:

Most spammers never even check back to look and see if their posts are still there.. So it means NOTHING if we delete the posts and keep the account active. It's probably a bot anyways so the user has never even personally seen this board.

But it looks bad if this guy keeps posting. It makes people thing they can spam the **** out of here. 17 posts is WAY to many to allow. If he has to re-register, at least he would start at zero again.

Plus it will make this site a harder target since it'l take more work.. Spammers look for the easy targets..

When I had the time I used to screw with email spammers. This was back when the spam was done by hand and not bot. If you look through the headers there is a "reply to" entry and it often is a different email address then what is beign spoofed. .Usually a yahoo or hotmail account. This is a valid address and where all the replies for "take me off your list" and "go to hell", and anybody who actually falls for the spam and reponds with interst go to.. All they do is take these addresses and put them on a list of "valid accounts" to spam even more. Because of this they have to read the account.. Well I'd go around and use that address and sign up for as many mailing lists and other things that generate junk mail as I can. Gives them some spam to sort through while trying to find their messages.
These days they use their bot to scan the account and harvest any email addresses that hit the account.

I found out that this annoys them cause one time i emailed the spammer from a yahoo account i created just for this purpose. I also signed him up on a few dozen mailing lists. I logged in a few days later and he got me back by signing me up on a few of the same lists.. Luckily it was a disposible account but it prooved my theory.....that they hate getting spam too.

Maybe one day If i get the time I'll see if he has a real email address linked to his account and fill his inbox up.

Yea!!!! Unfortunately there seem to be a few more candidates. I wonder if there is an auto delete after so many quarantined/spam posts??? I did send a few mails to the source asking them to stop. Would be nice to know what actually happened -- should we keep marking spam and will they get deleted, or do we need to deal with these people personally to get them to delete their own accounts and go away. I also sent emails to sources of mobileness and toto100.

Yah, one of those that popped up just recently is shoesgodxiu. It's kind of funny how these people (I do think some of these ARE real people...) must translate their Chinese message to English with a converter, similar to Google language tools, because they don't make any sense. One of my favorites was, "we are a large china selling shoes company..." It's very similar to the directions that come with so much of the Chinese merchandise sold today.

I wonder when we will get another Moderator? Hopefully that will help out a lot...

I got 4 kids to support since my wife ran off with the CEO of Aididas this past spring. I am violating no laws in doing this. You see advertisements on tv, the paper and on billboards. Do you abuse your tv station for the ads because you dont like them? Show some respect and please. buy my shoes, I'm starving here!

However I will say advertisers pay my TV station to run their ads. Pay the site owner a proper fee and then run your ads.

I finally got a reply from one of my emails asking them to stop (told them I was going to email back their messages every time they post):

Mr. T's post didn't have any spelling, syntax, or plural errors. If they keep it up, I suggest we all start returning their spam to the email addresses posted in the message (they may just block me after they tire of my emails). The one that answered was the china address. We are many, they are one. But the real solution is dealing with it here right away -- one or two spam posts and your account is gone.

Sorry.. I tried to put them in there.. I also tried to break my engwish up a bit but failed there too. I'll try harder next time after I figure out how to spoof my IP address. I may just log in from my cell phone next time. Different ISP alltogether :bike:

I'm about to take back my offer to help with spam on here. (I believe in 1 strike and your're gone for something like that). If he's takin this long to do anything about it, I doubt I'll have any real ability to do anything about it.

Newspapers, tv stations puts runs ads, they have advertising execs that sells these, they do not run the ads for free. This is how they get the cash flow required to pay their employees a salary (who also doesn't want to work for free) and other operating expenses. None of the advertising that you mention is available for free. But yet you wish to hijack a website, throw out any rules that has been set for the use of the website and make your own rules. Although we do understand you situation (assuming that any of it is true at all which I doubt). You cannot expect us to freely provide the forums for use in unathorized advertising to be flooded on the forums, to which the sites where never designed to handle, and was never the intent or purpose of these sites. Generally this type of activitiy has always been labelled as spam, and rightfully so. We allow links to be posted if it serves a purpose to help in the explanation of someones problem or question. So far I have seen no question posted that asked about their shoes. So what would make you think that you would obtain any other reaction than what you have.
