My inspector said I need to use cement to protect the rigid pvc pipe for service entrance in underground. I need to build up some kind of basket with wood to surround the pipe and drop some cement. I just wonder what kind of cement I should use. Because there have many kind of cement with sand, without sand, with screening small rock. Anyone can give me some tips?
Thank you

Any of the premixed "cement mix" will work. You don't want Mortar mix or straight portland cement.

Thank you for the tips, and I just forget what's the minimum thick of cement I just put, at less 1/2 inch?

If this is a residential setting and if the PVC is at least 18" deep then no concrete is required by IRC or NEC rules. Check local amendments to the rules that may apply.

This is a rule from Electric company (Hydro-Quebec), and unfortunately the pvc pipe is hanging in air. So today I have to make a box, and take me couple of hour to build it.
