CR500

I have an old Ariens ST504 snowblower with a Tecumseh HS50 -670080 engine. Last winter gas started pouring out of the carb.
I've replaced the float, bowl gasket, needle and seat. Put the seat in all the way down with the grooved end in first. Set float height. Needle clip pointing towards the choke (though I don't see why it makes a difference).
Seemed to hold gas, engine fired up, in a few min it started pouring out gas again.
Disassemble, clean, reassemble, gas pours out immediately.
I read that sometimes you need to go through multiple sets of needles and seats till you get one that works so I purchase another set. These are OEM parts, not aftermarket.
Assemble carb, leaks immediately. Disassemble, reassemble, it holds fuel. Start motor and in a few min gas is pouring out again.
Any tips before I crush this !@#!@#$ carb in my hydraulic press and purchase a replacement??
Thanks
Rob
