A couple of times, I have had to blow water out thru faucets, and once, a sill****. There were bellies in the lines and I couldn't get the water to gravity drain out. I was stuck, and it hit me. I have been fortunate that the homeowners didn't see me putting my mouth on their faucets!

Another trick is to use a flexible stainless steel supply line 20' 1/2" x 3/8" and use the larger end on copper pipe or aerators and blow through the 3/8" end.

That way you can suck the water out of the pipe too, but make sure that you don't pull the water into your mouth. It won't kill you, but it is safer that you don't.

If you are trying to solder hot side lines, crack the boiler drain open on the bottom of the water heater; thermal expansion is continuing even if you turn the gas off to the water heater, and this can cause water to creep up and continue a bleed-by.

If you have enough pieces of tubing something will eventually work. There are conicle rubber adapters that you can use and then tie into your air tank. You can also zip tie a piece of inner tube to the air hose and then the sink and you will not be caught with you lips ao the water they cook with
